Unhappy Problem After Rebuild

Hi, i recently finished the rebuild of a 5VZ '99, when i tried to start it it
started fine, with a little missfire, but then started to backfires in the exhaust?, could be the timming?, or something worst?

Timing belt out a tooth, one valve is too tight... wrong wire/ coil position.... there are lots of things that can cause that....

Ditto on Bob's comments but check the timing belt and tensioner first.
