Powerband or Redline? ? ? ? ? ?
Hey Guys ____ Just curios , the guys with similar setups such as ::: a 22RE engine ,35’s ,5 sp, 529’s and some other stuff ,and weighing in at 4400lbs___ What is your power band(RPM’s)my redline is at 5500. How many of you go outside of your power band? Do you exceed the redline on a regular basic. Such as climbing a hill you made your commitment ___ do you stay in yor power band or go over the redline ?????? _______ THANKS BAYRUNNER

Never once hit red line. You can push your redline up to 7,000 rpm with some titainium vavle springs but without them there is no point. Your vavles don't have time to shut.

ive sent my 3vze to 6500 or so accidentally one time when it was in neutral and I thought it was in drive. (when i first started driving - yes I drive with an iron foot!) Otherwise the tach MIGHT touch the redline at worst if I'm pissed or passing.

I have a heavy foot I have pushed the 302 in my 84 past 7600 valves start to float around 8000. My 90 v6 4runner it seems like it makes power from 3200 until around 5000 but I have taken it to the rev limiter. The 88 4runner it needs a new motor so it gets driven nicely
