Power Stearing leaks when engine if off?

Ok to the best of my knowledge you shouldn't turn the wheels with the engine off but you can if you really need to..... I had the front on jack stands ghetto painting my brake calipers and noticed a squoosh noise when turning the wheel in order to access the other side of the caliper. I noticed fluid flowing down the leg of the jack stand and then popped the hood to find out it was coming out of the PS reservoir or a line near by since it was just me I couldn't turn the wheel and look for the leak. Any ideas?

Painting your calipers Aaron? At least I can see they're black. Every 3rd gen toyota I've seen leaks from the cap of the power steering reservoir. I haven't seen any actually dripping to the ground though, so I guess i'd check/possible replace the cap.

Ok ok the calipers were rusting a bit after the big brake upgrade and the filing I did to them for wheel fitment. Soooo paint them and no more rust, I'm not a blinger. Yes the cap leaks or sprays when the truck is off but not when it is on, I did also get a weird ka-thunk noise with the truck off and cycling the steering wheel. Note I was turning the wheel extremely fast and very aggressively, under normal just turn to the left and then back right I heard a leaking noise but no fluid.
