Possible replacement 4Runner!
Hey guys...its been almost a month since my accident...and I may have found a replacement....but I would like some opinions!
Trim SR5
Year 1997
Kilometers 384000
Transmission Manual
The truck is from its original owner....and it just not any owner...the family owns one of my provinces biggest Toyota dealerships...this truck was the owners and has been very well cared for. I have a documented history of ALL service. Timing belt/water pump was changed at 360km! Should I be concerned about the mileage? I've only owned 1 Toyota...and it has never let me down...I put 100km on...less then 5years and the only thing mechanical that went was a u-joint! I just know this is a place got honest feedback.
Thank !!

238,000 miles 5 speeds are becoming rare id say its a good deal most 3.4s last well into the 300,000 miles if well taken care of based on what you say I wouldnt be concerned

looks great! i just got a 98 3.4L 5 speed and love it(the 5 speed was hard to find). If it has been well cared for I wouldnt be scared of the Km. I had a 95 pick up with 350000km and it was still running great! Look for rusty aux heater line on the passenger frame rail(I pooked them and coolant dumped all over me, easily bypassed though). I bought it with 270 000km.
Good luck!

Sounds like a very nice find. If the records point to a very-well maintained truck, why not?
I am very attentive to the maintenance needs of my 4Runner, and generally feel that it still drives as it did when I purchased it new. If the need arose, I'd drive it to Alaska tomorrow.

good looking Runner you found, I have the 3.4 with the 5 speed and have been problem free. a buddy of mine has 458kms on his 2000 3.4 and it is still running strong if that's any indication for you!
