please look at these for sale, I need a new ride

well, anyways I gotta get something soon, and this first one looks clean, it is the V6 and manual and 4x4 whigch is what I want, but buying something with THAT many miles??? what do you think, I mean ot last that long and look that good 236,000 miles later it MUST have been taken care of dont you think? oh also, the 1st/3rd/4th/5th ones are the best option for me, very close to where I live, others are down in oregon but I could get a ride down there if necessary.

I can almost buy it cash but I would put down 50% and finance to build credit that route. anyways how much is a replacement 3.0 imported from japan or what sites could I find new rings/bearings etc. to do a basic overhaul, 250k might be enough for complete rebuild though, id know when i tore it down I guess.

nice black one doesnt say mileage though or engine size

these are all the ones that are local to me, I could fly down to my grandmas in LA for cheap cuz a buddy of mines mom works at an airline and I can get one way tickets to las for like 25 bucks. and then I would drive it back.
if i find nice ones there I will post a couple of them as well

Out of all the choices, I like these two best. Personally, I would never buy a rig with more than 100K miles, but that's just me. If I was in that situation, where my funds were very limited, I would keep looking or wait. If I really needed something to get around with, I would buy an old Corolla or Civic to drive in the meantime. Then I would sell it when I found my ideal ride.

Yea, I have to agree. If your low on the cash side, buy a small car now if needed. Then later on after you have saved your money pay CASH for the vehicle you want. That way you don't have to be in debt. Thats what I did,..bought my 4runner in cash. Now I am in the process of selling it to my brother and saving up to pay cash for a Titan DC or Tundra DC.

alright, I have decided not to get that one with 236k, at least not now, I actually have 2500 so I am not LOW on cash, plus I got 2 cars to sell. just have to replace the clutch in my integra that I have been driving and get my head resurfaced on my civic. but about the 100k thing, EVERYTHING I have boughten has had over 100k, both tegs, civic, both bugs, both trucks, mustang, 280Z, mav, 200SX, accord, everything, well not my bike, the R1 only had 7k on it but thats different.

ahhh, both are the ones I have to fly and pick up, I do like the 2nd one he picked ouyt alot, as well as the first one, but I need to either get finanicng for sure or sell oen of my cars. I am ordering a clutch in a few minutes and am goign out to get the civic running and Ill probably take my head to get surfaced when i get the new clutch in the teg. I am leaving ona cruise in a fw weks and then will get back 2 weeks after that so I wont get a runner til probably the end of march, I guess that just goives me plenty of time to keep researching.

here's my 0.02

I don't know about anybody else but I would never buy a lifted truck. They usually have been driven hard and have a lot of extra strees and wear related issues because of the forces imposed by the lift. Especially if the guy did'nt know what he was doing on the install or the shop did'nt know...Why get something someone learned on? I would (not having looked at all of them) go with the first of the 2 a good clean looking truck with all the toys (supposedly) at a reasonable price. I would get the VIN off the guy and check with a dealer if the head gasket recall is still open in it but thats about it. If you can find out who his dealer was you can check also on the timing belt. That needs to be done about every 120000kms or you can have serious troubles. Hope this helps Aviator

salvaged title but it only has 89k on it.
and how bad wopuld an auto be if I were to only go with 33's and 5.29's?

cuz almost ALL i find are automatic, and the options I wont steer away from is the 1990-1995 V6 4x4 4 door.

Well it looks ok, but I am sure there is more to it. For one thing, if his Buy It Now is $6K, you can pretty much count on his reserve being in that neighborhood. So be prepared. I would run a carfax even though it is a salvage title. For me, a salvage title is a no no. But you could score something nice I guess. I would be weary of odometer fraud on that one.
