plastic bedliner noise
It was a nice day today so I opened up my rear sliding window. I couldn't believe how much noise my bedliner makes (it came with the truck). It is constantly rattling around. I noticed the only part of the liner that is bolted to the truck is the part on the tailgate. The rest of the liner is just sitting in the bed. It is the toyota under rail liner - is this how it should be installed or should it have been bolted to certain points in the bed? Anyone have this liner? Any advice? I'd like a spray on liner but they are too pricey for a grad student.

Kevin, I had a drop in liner in my 96 Taco. What a pile of junk it was. (liner, not truck!!!) Do yourself a favor, yank that thing out of your truck. The only rust I had on my truck was under the bed liner. They vibrate and slide all over... and rub the paint right off. My truck was down to bare metal in places. I had it RHINO LINED, it cost me $360.00 out the door. If you cant afford it now, someday you will be able to. Your truck bed will be alot cleaner w/ out the drop in liner rubbing all your paint off.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll take it. $360 for the rhino lining isn't too bad. I thought it was closer to $500. Maybe I can afford it. Thanks again.
