Piston slap( carbon knock) or Rod? After Seafoam..any thoughts

Hi, I added some seafoam to my engine, through the PCV valve, slowly. Engine did not stall out. started it, smoked, ran fine.

I drove it to my girlfriends (70 kms) and on the way home, about 5 min from my house, it started to knock. Sounds like a rod knock. It goes away at idle, and even at low speeds, but comes back at about 1500 rpm +

any thoughts?
This all occoured AFTER it had run for about 110-120 kmns from the treatment

If its any help., I have vbeen getting a code for 0301 from CYL1 misfiring.

Did I throw a rod, any easy way to diagnose it before it goes to the garage?

If you threw a rod your rig would not have left the driveway.

I will take a wild guess and say you may have a burned valve.

Keep us updated on this one.

Thanks. I know I didnt throw a rod DURING the application, but is it common at all to have it go during cruising at 110km/h? I literally had the cruise on the whole way home, got off the highway on a ramp, and after I got going again at the stop sign, the knock was there.
Any tips on diagnosing? What about Carbon knock?

Thanks again

It depends on how loud it is really. Also did you put it in the oil (please say no)?

I always change my oil after a seafoam/water treatment. It will get into the oil and will break it down. So i always do it just before an oil change.
