Pics from a NC mud hole

This happened a while back, we were driving these girls wheeling for the first time.

After some deep water we ended up in a mud feild about the size

of 10 football feilds in the middle of the night trying to navagate

around silt rivers when we found one that I sunk in.

We had to call a friend who had to go to my house and get my brothers 4Runner cause his jeep couldn't make it...

here is a chick that has never been wheeling before after she got to drive my truck while my brother pulled it out.

and then.....

what happened next? it seems as though every time we take girls wheeling, something goes wrong, which can be very humiliating.... you can give a sweet lead up like that and not follow through with the ending..... it would be like Ex: Hey I just installes my new SC and 4" Lift and then while i was on my way---- and cutting off there....

I really wouldnt listen to me sometimes.......

Looks like you had fun before getting stuck at least

Out of curiosity, why couldn't the Jeep make it?

Be nice to the Heeps

Hey before you say much more, let me tell you that with shame, the only time my 4Runner ever got stuck, I walked back to my beachhouse and got the 76 CJ.... It pulled me out with difficulty, but none the less pulled me out. I know this is a toyota forum and i love my 4Runner more than my girlfriends cat, but be nice to the heeps, someday they may help you....

Ther is no way that jeep would be able to make it with out major scratches. It is a 97 TJ that had 32s. We opted for the Runner cause it is heavier and has more agressive tires and my brother knows the way in. There is no trail to this area, I found this trail by driving across a feild under some power lines around Lake Norman. There is alot of bushwacking and tight areas with low branches. There is alot of stumps and cut trees that you have got to cross. I ripped 2 CV boots and bent a front axle the last times I came here. The land is owned by the steam station. The feild is in the middle of a forest at the end of a cove and is plowed by bulldozers. The mud is a silt and red clay mix that is like quick sand. The area is so far across that I could not see the other side with all 8 hellas and my hi beams on. There are silt streams and standing water and navigating it is very tricky cause you can't really stop to look around.

Thats definately Jon for you...
First time I saw his truck his headlights were a nice brown color... it was then that I knew this truck had been through a lot. About the heep thing... I'm nice to heeps, I have friends with them, but that doesn't stop me from making fun of them as they are both stock. Once we got a 2wd xterra stuck in some sand (which later we realized it was just a massive ant pile... yeah, that was fun) and one of the guys with a jeep thinks he knows everything (and really... he doesn't know anything about 4wheeling) and was determined to get the x out. after a good 25min without prevail I said, let me try. All it took was one pull.

Nice pics! Good ol flops. I was a passenger in a Yota once with a chick who wore flops while wheeling. We got stuck on top of a mountain and had to walk down a backpacking trail off the backside of the mountain for 7 miles to get help. I carried her on my back for some of it after her flip flops were demolished by the rocks. If she hadn't been such a hottie she would been really SOL that day..haha
