Pics of "lifted" 2wd PU's??
I'm thinking about getting the 3.5" Fabtech susp. lift and add-a-leafs with RB's 1" bodylift on my '88 2wd PU. I'm just finding it a little difficult to visualize how it's gonna look.
Todd E. I believe has a similar setup on his extended cab 2wd. However, I'd like to see what a 2wd std. cab shortbed with a 3.5" susp. and 1" bodylift would look like.
Does anyone have any pics they can show me?
Thanks.

You're money and you manage how you wish, however, why would you want to lift a 2wd truck?
I've been curious all these times when I see PRE-RUNNERS that have these enourmous lifts which plus size tires.
I honestly don't see the point.

I've got a 2 wheel drive and have considered going 33x11.5's. I don't need the clearance, but I think it improves the look of the truck. Gives it a more agressive stance and wider wheelbase.
Kinda like the way people who lower their trucks don't always do it for the "sports" handling.

Geez, I didn't mean to cause any "2wd" trouble here.
I thought maybe a few of you might have a lifted 2wd PU hiding in the corner of your garages somewhere.
KING,
I don't want to lift my truck SKY high. There's enough of that crap here in So. Cal with these $40K+ full-sized rigs people NEVER take offroad. I just want my truck to sit a little higher than stock. Somewhat like the new Taco prerunners if you know what I mean. The new Acura RSX's sit higher than my 2wd PU. The new Maximas too.
Why? Well the truck was free. FREE! Thanks to my uncle. I know the history of it. I used to drive and ride in it when it was new. I guess it has some kind sentimental value to me or something. If I can only now convince him to get one of those new Supercharged V6 4X4 Taco's. Oh well... It's okay. I don't want to have to wait another 15 years to get it.
4x4? Nope. I don't really need one. 2wd serves me just fine right now in sunny So Cal. I don't want to become just another poser 4X4'er who only takes his $$$$ rig around the mall once a week. If I ever do get a 4x4, I'm gonna dang well use it for what it was designed for.
If anyone else has any lifted 2wd PU pics, please feel free to post them. I'll check the links you guys suggested.
Thanks again.

There are 121 pages of 'reader's rides' at prerunner.net. Most have pics.

Isn't it nice when people can have civil conversations without getting all fired up? This board is WAY more friendly than most of the other boards I read.
Thanks to everyone here that keeps this place sane.

He wants to lift his 4x2 to better the stance and travel of the suspension. You have a 4x4, why dont you lift yours to improve its offroad ability? Everyone is allowed to do their own thing, no need to question why.
