Question PIAA fog light install question

Hi everyone just got PIAA 540 fog lights and need to know what hot wire to hook the lights up too. Do i hook the wire to one of the three wires coming right from the headlights (it says hook them up to low beam) or somewhere else. This is the only thing stopping me from finishing the install. And is there a way not to hook the wire to the low beam light so i can turn them on without the low beams being on.

i just hooked mine to my parking lights. I think if u want to be able to turn them on at any time, just go back to the battery.

Isn't there a relay setup?

You do NOT want to hook the power up to a small light wire - needs to go to the battery. These things draw quite a bit of power, and the voltage drop across the factory harness is considerable.

I hooked the relay up to constant hot at the battery, then the switch to switched power in the cab so they can be turned on without any lights and they turn off when the truck is off.

It comes with a relay. There is a + and - wires that hook to the battery (about 12 gage). then a small remote wire to turn on the power switch. they say to hook that up to a 12 volt low beam wire thats where i didnt know what wire it was.

OK - gotcha. That's the wire I hooked up to switched power.
