Performance Products 1" lift kit
So here I am calling Performance Products today and them telling me that they don't have the progressive springs, 1" lift, for a 1999 4-Runner. I am talking about the H&R ones. Their latest catalog on Pg. 26 says they have springs for 4Runners 1990-2002, and the website shows part #109922 for 1999. The guy on the phone swears they don't have them, and does not seem to care that the catalog and website shows otherwise. Are they idiots? or they really do not have them? if any of you have purchased this kit can you tell me the part number, if any? Frustrating to say the least.

shox gets theirs from PP...
i had this issue last week.
i called shox.com to make sure they had them and he told me that he would call PP because they go through them... the guy from shox.com said the guy from pp said that they didn't have them in stock and it would be 4-6 weeks before they did...
so i called PP and talked to a guy their who said they DID have them...
so i place the order...
the next day i wanted to make sure they had shipped but they haddn't....
i called the same guy up and he said that my order is all ready to go, ups just hadn't picked it up yet... so he said he would place it on their table and get it out for me withing the next hour...
well... 10 minutes pass and he calls me back saying that there was a reason they hadn't gone out yet... they ran out of the rear coils... they had the front ones, but not the rears....
he said it would be a couple weeks before they had them again so i just cancelled my order...
i still got the tokico trekmasters though from shox.com.....
my car has been at the beach for 10 years.... so when i went to install them, the front struts were soo much of a pain that i took it to a shop to have them do all 4 for 150 with alignment...
well he calls be up saying that in order to do it, they were going to have to break the 3 bolts on both sides that hold the top of the strut in... and replace the cap that holds the spring down onto the strut...
so those parts are special order and he can't get them for a couple days...
this is turning into a much bigger project then i had anticipated....
but with 135000 miles on my stock shocks... it should be worth it...
wow that was long..

What a mess...I haven't always been impressed with performance products...they've sent me some things broken before and it took 2 months before I got the part I had originally ordered.
I may just go with OME 906's and 881's....tired of waiting for PP and I think OME is a more trustworthy coil anyhow. That is, they've always been highly regarded around here on YT.

It seems as the PP Springs are out of stock often enough. I waited for a few months for mine to come in. No big deal. If you are in a ruch, try a different spring...

The PP's will probably give you more than just an 1" of lift, searching on here has shown me that people are getting closer to 2". It depends on your current setup and what year you have. For example, your 99 will probably only get an 1" or a little more whereas my 97 4x4 would probably get a good 2" of lift. Again, it depends on how worn your current setup is, etc.
Check out 4x4connection.com, look at the medium duty OME 906 coils for the rear and the medium duty OME 881 for the front. Most people on here have said they recieved about 2" in the rear and 1.25-1.50" up front, but again it will vary and I'm not sure since the 99's sit higher from factory anyhow.

Sorry, didn't see this one. I've had to deal with them on the ordering side, billing etc working for an offroad shop. I've see the trucks come to the shop I worked at that were installed at one of their shops. I've also dealt with them as a normal customer.
They have the worst customer service, employees, and do lousy work in all of my personal and professional experiences.
Definately a company always looking for a quick buck, not a company of enthusiests or educated people.

I ordered those springs and had them delivered in 4 days. I guess I shouldn't have sent them back. Also, have never had had issues with 4WP. I bought 4 Procomp 1079's+ lugs, 4 - 285- BFG A/T's, Daystar 2.5 inch spacer lift, aligned & installed for $1200 out the door. Not bad in my opinoin.

Sorry, I'm going to thread jack for second but all of these stuff just confuses that crap out of me. Reading back and forth about ome and other such things my head hurts (I been reading for the past few days) . I'm getting ready to replace my shocks (160,xx) on the orignals and I fiqured to replace my springs/coils at the same time.
Would I go wrong with just getting the 99 4runner coils. I'm not looking for much of a lift at the moment just better than what I have until the $$ flow is a little better.
Thinking of the tokico trekmaster shocks or the bilstein 5100 w/the 99 springs/coils.
Sorry, for the thread jack again but I need help (yes I've searched).

Check out http://www.sonoransteel.com/ This will tell you everything about 99 coils. And other options that could be a possibility to go with.

BEtter yet : The 3rd Gen 4Runner was introduced in 1996 and apparently Toyota was not pleased with the original front coils as they were changed for the 1997 model year even though no significant changes were made to the 4Runner. These coils ran from 1997 to 1998. In 1999 Toyota added the extra crush zone up front and the fat lip front bumper to facilitate it. Things were good and the 1999 4Runner sat higher than any 3rd Gen 4Runner to date. At the same time the Ford Explorer/Firestone Tire blowout/rollover media blitz hit. Toyota reacted by yanking the 2000 model year down lower mid production very early in the 2000 model years run. The 2001 and the 2002 are without a doubt the "Low Rider" 4Runners. This kit takes the best the factory had to offer in 1999 and applies it to every 4Runner from 1996 to 2002, 2WD and 4WD. The 2WD trucks will go up 2" from where they sat new and 4WD trucks will go up 1" from where they sat new. Does every 1999 have these magic coils? No way, only a few did and the chances of finding them in a junk yard is possible but, it is very slim that you find a 1999 and only a 1999 with the specific options factory installed, not dealer installed.

Yesterday I checked PP's website again and did not find the 1" lift kit for the 99 Runner, p/n 109922. They had it last Friday. Maybe they are discontinuing the product....

I would be surprised if they discontinued the coils. I just ordered a set of 4 last month. These coils are simply awesome!!

yeap! thanks! If I chose 1999 4-Runner I get the 109922 coils, but if I chose the SR5 it does not show. Another proof of bad management!
Now, as for the Bilstein shocks, are the shocks I need heavy-duty stock height? the 103628 and 103627?
