Performance Chip or Rip off?
Look at this first:

I've been hearing mixed reactions on these things. Some people say they dont do anything from others saying they will make your motor run too rich.
Isnt this the same thing as the resistor trick on your MAF sensor?
I'm not to sure what to think, but I am leaning tward thinking this isnt such a good idea for my motor.
Just wanted some input from you guys, because I'm not to sure what to think of this. I don't know of anyone who has something like this, so it seems like this is something to stay away from.

It's a POS. You might as well donate $ to a charity and get a sticker that'll give you more HP. That thing is just a resistor that just doesn't work.
You're best bet is to spend your $ elsewhere on real mods

I am very wary of these kinds of mods, because vehicle RELIABILITY is important to me. If something as simple as a chip can crank out more horsepower, why wouldn't Toyota put it in there in the first place? Toyota invests billions into the R&D behind their vehicles and if there is something that can cheaply produce a better vehicle, I'm pretty sure that they would include it with the purchase price.
What's the point in pushing your motor to 300hp if the United Auto Workers drive it more than you do?
