I was wondering, those of you that didn't grind your stock skids to fit the middle bolts, how are they hang'n up? Are you having any problems? I'm wondering b/c I have just been running around w/o skids since there isn't really anthing down here to hit, but summer is creaping up and I want to be ready for some real wheeling. Basicly I'm wondering if its worth grinding the holes. I don't have any of my tools with me at school, so thats why I'm asking if I should wait to put them on when I get home and do it right, or do they hold up just as well w/o. Though... now that I think about it... if I rip them off then... that would force me to buy real skid plates... hmmm... :

I just elongated the two rear holes just a bit and everything was fine.

Just keep all the bolts loose between the 2 skids and you can install the back bolts without elongating the holes. Once all the bolts are in just tighten them down and your done. That's all I did, until I replaced my plate with a better one.

Ditto on that, I didn't elongate when I was runnin' the stock skid. And now with the Arizona Skid it's not even an issue!

I didn't have to make any changes. once installed, the holes in the rear still lined up, tight but after using the prybar to wedge and pull the plate back with the front already bolted up finger tight, they screwed right in and then I tightened all the bolts. no mods needed. and now I just put all the bolts in finger tight then when all are in I tighten them, no "persuasion" needed anymore.
