Passenger Side Power Dock lock not functional-help?

I have a 1997 Toyota Tacoma-ext cab-v6-4wd. When i press the power door lock button on the driver side only the driver side door will lock. When i press the power door lock button on the passenger side, only the driver side door will lock. So when i press the button on either door only the driver side will lock and not both doors. Is it the actuator? The actuator control unit? Or? Thanks

did you take the door panel off to investigate yet? if not that would probably be your best first step, its going to be easier to figure out the issue when you can see most of the components involved. make sure the rod from the lock "tab" to the actuator didnt just come off. can you hear the lock motor making any noise at all? also depending on its location, you may be able to test the power door lock motor by sending 12 volts to it.
