Parts for new Taco
I have a 2006 Tacoma and I absolutly hate it! Its 2wd and I dont know what to do to it. I want 4wd, and I dont know how to go about it.I also have been looking at this bullbar/brushguard here and it looks pretty cool, and I have a friend with some 34s, for 17 inch wheels, so im looking for 17inch wheels, and idk if it would fit with out a lift, and i was thinking of just going with a body lift at first.
can you help me what to do.
thanks

I kind of want to go the hard way, basically because I like having at least some backroom, and the v6, for power reasons of being able to beat civics in races... hhaha

SAS with dual cases that'll get you 4wd then get some dom and build up a wich bumper sliders and a rear bumper, then bob the bed. You'll have a sweet truck and go down in history

Do a prerunner conversion. 2WD with a locker can go just about anywhere a regular 4WD can go. A body lit doesn't do much for ya other than fitting larger tires. Get a long travel suspension lift instead - truck will look better (no exposed frame and gap between frame and body) and be more stable.
There are several places making the parts. here's one example:

if it were me, i'd sell it and buy a used 03 or 04 4x4. that option makes soooo much more sense to me than anything else. if you wanted 4x4 in the first place, i really don't understand why you even bought a 2wd truck. it makes very little sense to me.

Yeah you would have been better to wait until you could afford the 4x4. And it's kinda weird that you don't have the money for the 4x4 but then you're going to have the $$$ to mod up a 2wd? Why do people buy something they don't want?
