p1300 code 01 tacoma
2001 tacoma 5spd, 3.4, TRD supercharger with 7th injector, 122k
Intermittent P1300 code. No issues when starting or drive ability. I followed the FSM for P1300...looks like the igniter needs to be replaced. No short or open between igniter and ECU, voltage reads 5.0 (ok) with key on.
I cleaned all the electrical connectors, replaced the plugs, and cleaned the body connection ground on the firewall.
Now to the point. Has anyone had any experience using an aftermarket igniter? I found one made by LX for like $75 on eBay. I am reluctant (see cheap) to drop $400 for a new OEM unit and I don't have much confidence in 2nd hand junk ones.
Any suggestions for sourcing an igniter? Anyone else had this problem P1300 code intermittent?

Yes I did turned out to be the ECM.
Do you know anyone you could borrow to test those igniters were used in a few years if you have the same one as a 2000.
I would go with a known good original then a unknown quality new one.
Then someone might say this LX one is better then sliced bread
The only thing bad about the PO1300 code is it cuts off the fuel when it trips a real pain pushing the truck home up the mountain when it happened to me

yeah, I am aware the ramifications of the P1300 shutdown fuel. Fortunately, the truck is not a daily driver so I am trying to nurse this along slowly. I don't want to just throw parts at it.
How did you isolate the ECU? Was it a constant failure or intermittent?
