Out of control Horn
My horn keeps going off on its own accord,
The factory alarm system has been replaced with a Clifford Concept 300, but every now & then the horn pulses on and off for about 30 seconds.
any ideas?
Thanks & Regards
Kerr

I would say take it back to the place that installed the alarm, they probably need to adjust something. Or, what happens to my factory one every now and then, the circuit board inside the key transmitter thing gets full of dust and the "arm" button gets jammed down and the thing thinks I'm hitting the panic button and goes off about every 30 seconds until the battery wears down or I take the cover off and give it a good blow with the air compressor, then it works fine again. yes I usually speak in really long continuous sentences,

Good Joke!!
The alarm has been fitted for over a year now, but the horn thing has only just started. It only does it when the car is really hot (parked in the sun) which is not very often over here!!
Still trying to sort this out as it very annoying
Thanks & Regards

okay so this only happends when the runner is parked?
here is the probem: there is a sensor as part of the alarm that is detecting the change in pressure inside (the air heating up expands) and that sensor is telling the alarm to go off.
Try cracking the windows just a hair and see if that works. I bet that is your problem. If so, take it back and have the sensor replaced or adjusted.
