Optima battery spacer (Pics)

I received my Optima battery spacer today and just got done installing it. Now my battery sits like the original without bending the hold down clamp. Check these pics.

I got it free from Optima after calling them and asking where to get it from.

What battery should I say I have? Do they ask for a part number or will "red top" work?

Just tell them that you didn't get any when you bought it. It doesn't matter what battery you have, but, you can tell them whatever model you have. No, they don't ask any questions about the battery you have. The on ly questions they ask is if you want one and also your mailing address.

It's great . My rigs starts up quick. I'll never buy any other brand of battery again.

I actually perfered to re-bend the hold down bracket, reason, to keep the battery terminals as far away from the hood as possible, because of the reversed location.

[QUOTE]

some people do have the redtop with the reversed terminal location so they are in the stock location. but that is a good point

Looks great. Glad to see that Optima has come around. When I bought my red top about a year ago I called Optima for a spacer and the lady was very rude and told me that I had to special order it throught the place where I bought the battery. I did but it took a while they gave hime the run around as well. I wrote Optima a nasty letter and got a second on free in the mail. Again glad to see that they are coming around.
