Opinions wanted on toppers (camper shells)
Hi all, brand newbie here and kudos for the forum layout. Easy to get registered and easy to search, etc.
I currently am on my 5th Toyota truck, (the first being a '79 with a 20R) which is currently a 2002 Tacoma XCab V6 SR5...stock.
I'm in the market for getting a topper and have priced both A.R.E and Leer. I just wanted wanted to hear from folks honest opinions on those companies or any you'd like to recommend.
Specifically I'm looking at the A.R.E. Z-Series and the Leer 100XLT.
Your opinions are welcome, pros cons, experience, etc.
thanks,
Mason

Welcome to the forum, Mason.
I can offer a little, I had a Leer on an early 90's ford f-150, several years back, and was really happy with it. Can't remember the model, but it was level with the top of the cab, and had the larger windows in back and on the sides, called something like "full-view" or "max-view" glass? Anyway, we never had any probs with it. It was color and clear-coat matched, too. Hope this helps...
