Opinions

Yes, I know opinions are like axles...but you guys know ALOT more about Toyota's than I...so here goes:
I have been bitten by the yota bug and have decided to keep the 4runner I recently aquired..here is the build-up plan:

Chevy 350, sm465 4spd, yota t-case, SAS with 3/4 ton chevy running gear(These are parts I have or can aquire cheap), and 37's (w/ 17" rims I should be able to get 3 or 4" of back spacing) w/bushwacker fender flares.

Now the Q's (and yes I searched)
What springs do you V8 guys recomend. What size lift does it take to clear 37's or 38's? I am planning on using some parts from All-Pro Off Road (unless you can suggest a better place) for the SAS.
Downey Motor mounts? Headers?

And the biggest one I am having trouble finding..the steering. I have read that the Toyota box can run off of an older GM power steering pump, but what about the linkage?...high steer?

Any one have photos of bushwacker flares and 37/38's?

Thx guys/gals

John

Hi steer is necessary. The flares will not work with the fender cutting that you will need. Keep in mind you do not want to go too tall ot you will roll easily.
