i think thats a fair price for any dealership.....you COULD save the alot of money doing it yourself....but then your, doing it yourself.....doing it yourself provides a nice satisfaction once your complete, but if your doing it yourself and something goes wrong you may not have the tools to fix it....and i know you dont have an automatic transmission flushing machine like the dealer has, so you will be draining it and refilling it (alot of people do it that way).....if you have the money to blow take it to the dealer, if you want to try to do it yourself and everything go alright (which it probably will) then you'll save yourself some money and feel better once your done

I Dont See Where You Got Ripped Off. Any Good Repair Shop Has To Get Paid For What They Do.
-drain And Refill Diff's--1/2 Hr Ea (insert Your Shops Labor Rate)
-transmission Flush--1 Hr Labor + $26.00 Chemicals + 16qts Atf
-drain/fill Transfer Case--1/2 Hr + Lubricant
The Shop Also Assumes All Liability When Performing These Operations. Sounds Like Money Well Spent To Me!

BTW, The knocking when letting off of the brakes is probably the trans output shaft needing to be lubricated. It doesn't appear that they charged you to do that.

He right, if you pay someone to do it, it's going to be alot more than if you do it yourself. But then again you didn't get all dirty.

Looks like an "okay" price to me. One very good thing about taking your vehicle in to get maintance is that you get RECORDS. If/when you decide to sell it and you can show a potential buyer a bunch of records showing you obviously took care of the vehicle...the buyer wont mind paying more as a result because he knows the history of the car. So keep your records!!
