I've searched and searched and didn't find/see anything that has helped me.

As most of you know, I go to school in Bozeman, MT. Most of the time when I go there or come home, it's at night due to lack of traffic, etc.

My old truck had quite the nice set up with lights. Those lights that I had on there saved my butt quite a few times from deer/broken down cars/driving though a white out. So, I'm hoping that I can find a place to mount some lights.

If I do find a place I'm going to go with Lightforce lights. I'd like to get the 240MM's but if they are too big, then I can get the 170's. If any one here has good ideas/pictures of what they have done, that would be great!

Maybe it's worth it to pick up a small bar c/o Demello OR maybe you should start looking at places like Badland bumpers... I like their designs.

Lee: I would, but the bumper, I think, might be a little bit too shallow to mount either of those two lights.

Tacoma Dude: Yep, it's for my '04. I might end up having to do that. It would be nice to get a bumper, but there are other things I'd like to spend my money on first. However, I just looked at the Demello light bar and I like it. I'll have to see how much that's going to cost.

Just saw the price, 249.00!!! Quite a bit of money for that, but it might just be something that I have to do.

I really like their designs - not so sure about the customer service but Corey seems to have had good experience with them.

Brian, I'd like to put them on my bumper, but, from eyeing it, it looks as if the lightforce lights might be a bit too deep to mount them there. The hella lights are nice and shallow, and they work great there.

Lightforces are too deep for OEM bumper mount. Either go with some Hella's or get a light bar.

get hella 500's... my cousin who lives and goes to school in boseman mt has a gray dodge durango with 4 hella 500's mounted on his grille guard.. he says that they are plenty bright

go for the lightforce--love mine. I have the 170's but I often dream of the HID blitz! Another idea would be to put a basket on top of your cab and mount them there.

True, but then I've got to worry about using them on the road. I'm pretty sure there is a law that limits the height for using lights like these on the road.

Even though they dont have name-brand "BLING"....

Ive got 8inch 130watt Pro Comps on my bumper just like Waskilly pic shows.

On the back they are flat, rather than dome shaped so theres plenty of room. I just leave the covers off, so no one knows what brand they are anyway.

75$ for a pair from 4wheelparts and they light things up nicely enough. Liked em so much on my Dodge Ram, that I bought em for the 4Runner too.

Legal wise, if you're out on the road by yourself, then it shouldn't be a problem. You may want to rig an easy-to-hit momentary switch (like on your steering wheel) so that you can cut them out quickly if you come up on someone.

I had those on my old truck, loved them, but I want to go with the lightforce lights. Higher quality, focusable beam, and different filters.

If you want something just for the lights, try the jaos light bar(from burtman ind.). I put one on mine and i love it. It has two brackets up top for lights and you can get extra brackets as well. I made some brackets to hang some fogs on the bottom to be lower to the ground. It bolts right on with no mods and when its on, its sturdy, as i can shake my runner with it. Its not cheap, but whats cheap anymore anyways. and you will have plenty of room for the lightforces.

Don't spend $200+ on a light bar, save it for the lights!

Buy a Thule Crossbar and gutter feet (both on ebay) for your rig and then cut two pieces of flat bar steel. Mount the light like this. Works great!!! (and it's cheap).

I am in the process of looking at places to fit some PIAA 525's on my 02 tacoma. I too am runnning into the same problem. I think I may look at custom fabbing something that would place the lights on either side of the fron license plate with a bar that goes over and around the lights and follows the lines of the bumper. I am still in the design phase but will keep you posted if you are interested in the design.

Hella 4000 Eurobeam 100W. I managed to mount them to the stock bumper regardless of all the naysayers.. The stock bumper is so flimsy that I had to have a set of 1/4" thick steel brackets fabbed that tie the light mounting points to the frame ends. They work awesome.
