So i just finished my 3" OME Lift. I added the 882/891 and the comfort shocks on the front and the back. The tires in the back are fine and straight but the front tires bow inwards slightly. IM not sure wat the problem is and i heard that i would eed an alignment but will this fix this problem completely? Some ppl told me it would and some said it wouldnt so im so very unsure.

Yes, an alignment should fix the problem if you take it to a good shop. Any time you lift the truck, you are changing the geometry of the suspension, which is why you should always get an alignment after you get a lift.

ok so i was wondering if u no if meineke is good at alignments and i noticed that when i turn the steering wheel it seems more loose then when it was stock suspension. I was just wondering if this is normal or not.

An alignment is pretty much standard after a lift. Normally the tops of the front tires will bow out (postive camber) when a lift is installed. You said yours bow in, so not sure if you're talking about the the bottom or the the top of the tire, but either way, get it aligned.

You need to get an alignment first before you do or worry about anything else.

lol ok kool just wanted to check with u guys but ya its bowing inward at the bottom of the tires but it actually got a little better after i drove all day on it... less bowing now but ya i plan to get an alignment within the next week and hopefully i can get some pics to show.

Just out of curiosity... when you put a lift kit on do they include alignment specs? Or is it just back to factory specs? I've yet to have a truck come in after a lift kit and have an alignment done so I'm curious.

the shop can look up the factory specs. as far as the alignment goes. i would wait and drive it a week or two to let everything settle in before having the alignment done.

The truck should be put back to factory specs, I would not trust any lift that says that it would be ok to be out of factory spec. You should wait a week to let the springs settle.

my springs had about 10k on them when i got them figured there prob settle a little

Did you do a diff drop with the lift? The shop I had my alignment done at after my lift said that with out the drop, aligning the front end would've been much harder. Don't know if that's 100% true, but it's what they said. BTW, I did the OME 882/N91SC combination as well.

If you changed anything in the front end, as far as lifting it is concerned, you will need an alignment. Just like brian2sun said, you have a VERY positive camber on both sides and a VERY negative toe. Get and alignment asap and make sure the guy who does it know what he is doin. a lot of time you will get a guy who will just set the toe.

ok so ya i guess ill just wait a week or two before i get the alignment. I dint get a diff drop bc i read that only 4wd 4runners need that? mine is only 2wd so i figured id be ok but i could be wrong...

No diff drop needed since you don't have a front diff. I would get the alignment ASAP if you plan on driving it. You may be putting a lot of stress on all the front end components by driving it around.

You would only be creating uneven tire wear. The additional stress should not make much of a difference in a week UNLESS the front components are in bad shape to begin with. So you should be ok to let the truck settle in for a week

ya all the front components are in great shape... but ya i plan on doing it in a week bc i dont want too much uneven tire wear since im gonna upgrade to 285s soon so i want these to be sort of straight so i can sell them.
