Ome 882 Opinions

I have purchased my OME 3inch lift but was told by the wabbit that eventually if I want to put a TJM bumper I should go with 882 coils. the question is with 882 wil it ride real hard without the Tjm bumper as I only plan to a TJM in a year or more. Any advice is appreciated.

Did you get the OME 3" front spacer lift? If so, all spacer lifts will cause the stock springs to sag over time. Just ask me how I know! Some have had problems with OME 882's sagging too, with a front bumper. Another option might be OME 883 coil springs. I think RooRRunner on the boards is running the 883's and hasn't had any sagging issues with a bumper.

Some say without a bumper it is like having no suspension - very very stiff.

I have the 881's with the 99+ fat lip bumper (a bit heavier). I have not had it lifted long enough to determine sagging issues, but feel that the ride is still stiff as is. I would not want to be running the 882's with out a heavy bumper.

Pretty sure the only difference between 881's and 882's are the height, they should be the same spring rate.
