It's amazing how long I've been waiting for this to come. It almost doesn't feel real. Anyways, onto the journey. Install total took about 2 hours this includes front/rear coils, poly bushing kit, and diff drop. Total install labor fee was 170 because I helped the entire time. On to the pics

Looks sweet Roo! How are you liking the front OME spring setup? I've been looking into ditching my Daystar 2.5" spacers and going the same route you did. Any idea how much lift you got up front?

its an even 3 up front. i love the ride, its definitely stiffer than stock but at this height its almost how it should feel, you know like actually driving a lifted vehicle.

What are the #s on your front OME coils? I run the medium duty ones on mine and the front is about .5-.75" lower than the back. I'm going to add some trim packers to level it out I think. Yours looks very nice, congrats!

beautiful! i hope to have mine soon. take some offroading pics soon. how hard was it to install the diff drop? did it take alot of time?

i've got the 882s up front to compensate for the arb which are about an inch longer than the 881s (medium duty), that should level you out.

the diff drop was simple. all you do is unscrew the two screws holding the differential up and pull out both long ass bolts. through wiggling get the appropriate gap between the diff and the frame, center them, and rescrew using the extended bolts that came with the package. that part of the process took about 10 minutes. the bushings, however, took about 30 as they are a pain to swap

edit: haha just noticed this. if you look at the "after" picture in the median, you see the ford ranger in the background towards the right? that was a university employee coming to tell me to get the hell out of the grass

edit 2: going back and checking measurements, i think i got about 4" front and back. don't know if that's possible, rechecking everything

I see you went with the top out spacer up front as well. I don't have an ARB so I got the 881's. Are you keeping the stock shocks for the time being or did you swap them out too?

wow, great lift. my ome was the best thing i've ever bought. i love it too. come on though, i think it could have been a DIY. you didn't need a shop's help!!!

wow, you're going to make me feel like an idiot, but nah i definitely needed the shop. manpower was pretty much me unless I needed another hand (ie lowering rear axel to pop out coils) but without that garage i would have been stuck with a 4" rear with a sagging stock front after 4 hours. especially the bushings, those really chapped my ass. the air tools, coil compressor and loads of other obscure tools made this job a breeze. like i said, less than two hours for everything. as for my calculation, i'm still going back and checking but i seriously think i got 4 in front and rear...have to do more homework though to be certain

just out of curiousity where did you buy the kit from? and how long did it take? just not sure what i want to do, sounds like something i would like...also, what size tires you got on there now? and how much clearence do you have with those tires?

got the kit from toyteclifts.com. the coil spring lift kit (part #OME3-RUN) with their 1" Differential drop and new poly bushings cost 438.98 total. It actually got here pretty quick. It was ordered online last Wednsday night at like 11 and it got here yesterday at like 9am. Labor was 170, which I thought was pretty fair. I'm cool with them so they didn't charge me for the diff drop install nor the bushings, which was a surprise cause the bushings were the dirtiest and just the most annoying thing to install out of the whole thing.

oh. those are 265/75 Hercules TerraTracks, cheapo tires that came on there when I bought it but they don't look half bad

I've got the leather interior on a '96 SR5.

As for getting anything done here in Calgary...it is ridiculously expensive...National 4WD quoted me over $2000 Cdn for a suspension lift...
