Old Man Emu - Where to buy?

I'm trying to order an OME steering stabilizer for my 4runner but can't seem to find anyone who sells them. 4x4connection.com which Joey references in his tech article is not working (says the server is not available). Any other places I can purchase this from? Thanks.

Works for me
http://4x4connection.com/

I can't find it on their site, so you will more than likely have to call them.

Once I get on the '4x4connection' site the catalog, etc. is on the '4by4connection' portion which isn't working. I'll just call them, get the info and let them know the site isn't working quite right. Thanks.

Doesn't Mike carry them? Try Xtreme Off-Road.

I just ordered mine from 4x4connection. They definitely have them. Cost was $58.80 plus about $12 shipping.

Site seems to be back up. Try this link for the steering stabilizer.

Definately give Mike a call as Tom mentioned. Hes a fellow 4Runner owner and will give you the lowest price. If his price happnes to be lower at 4x4connection, tell him and he will beat whatever you find, but i doubt it will. Also, tell him your a yotatech member and you heard about him though us and that could help too I got my CB and lift springs from him and will do business with him in the future (if my truck survives )

What exactly does a steering stabalizer do? Is it stiffer to give more steering feedback or what?

I'm sure you already have one. It's just a shock between a steering arm and a fixed point to resist big steering changes from hitting bumps and so forth. Some people run without one, others swear by them. They're standard equipment though.

4x4 Connection was going to install an OME steering stabalizer/dampener until they discovered my '01 4Runner dosen't have one or need one. They mentioned it has a rack & pinion??? I'm not sure if I'm describing it correctly.

Mike with Xtreme hooked me up and beat the 4x4connection price. I also bought one of these inclinometers to make sure I don't rollover Thanks everybody for your input and thanks Mike.
