Ok, I'm confused even more now.... Time to lift the 98 Runner

Ok, so here's the deal....

I was going to go with all OME stuff and a few spacers to get my 3" Lift...

BUT, I've been reading (I know, I shouldn't have done it) about different setups and I'm even more confused now, than I was a month ago....

Right now, my runner is on all stock equipment with slightly over 104k miles. Time for it to go.

So far I know this much.

I want a 2.5-3" lift to fit the 285/75/16's
I would like to use OME shocks, mainly because I've heard the ride quality is outstanding.
I know I will need to get the transfer case spacers to drop it 1", or would it be better to just replace the axles in front with the right ones?

So now comes the rough/confusing part....

I have heard that you can use the 04/05 front springs off a Tundra 4x4 to achieve 3" of lift without adding spacers, AND the ride is very smooth, unlike SAW's which I find quite rough.

If this is true, and you have done it before, can you let me know how you like the ride?

Lastly, what to do for the rear springs? OME with spacers? Or is there another Toyota spring (like the Tundra) that I can use?? Also, will I need to modify anything in the rear during the lift?

I look to you guys for all the details, because I know you KNOW what you are doing and I'm just a NUB when it comes to this stuff. Ask me about Honda engines / chassis, and I can help you all the way, but this is all new to me.

Thanks in advance for any and all advice you can offer me.

The Tundra setup is still being investigated. It looks as if the 04-05 Tundra D-Cab coils (Yellow/Yellow, Yellow/Blue) will get you about 3" of lift. but like i said, nothing has been proven yet.

Rear 890 or 891 coils will be good enough for lift, you wont need rear spacers.
