oil sending unit
I changed my oil and noticed a small white plastic clip that should have a wire connect to it....broken as if someone tried to remove it with pliers?
Any how, i belive this part is the oil pressure sending unit.
so at the moment my tacoma is operating without this device.
Will this harm my truck?

It won't hurt to run without it, but if something should happen (like a rock gouging a hole in your oil pan), you won't have any warning of oil pressure loss.
Should be easy enough to find the cut wire and splice it back up.
Just one of those safety things :-)

OK, I got it now
You should be able to pick up the connector either at the dealor or a place like radio shack (don't know if you have those over there) and wire it in.
I don't know what kind of connector it is, but most likely it's a "spade" type.
Good luck!
