Question Gauges - Oil pressure & Transmission Oil Temp Install ??

I recently purchased some gauges for my 1998 4runner 2.7 L auto. I am totally lost as to where to install the temperature sensor for the transmission and the Oil pressure for the engine. I want to keep the idiot sensors. Both gauges are mechanical.

Does anyone have experience or knowledge in doing this? Photos would be excellent. Thanks

There used to be a write up as far as oil pressure, but it has been taken down. I'd like to know as well since in the previous write up mentioned something about having to buy a separate adapter for the oil pressure gauge.

It frustrating, I can't seem to find any good info that is 2.7 specific, or Automatic. I have manuals that include other engines and the illustrations focus more on the V6.

To the best of my knowledge, the oil pressure sensor threading on 2RZ, 3RZ, and 5VZ engines is 1/8" BSPT (British Standard Pipe Taper), not NPT.

BSPT threads have a different angle (on the threads themselves), a different outside thread diameter, and a different threads-per-inch (28 vs. 27 for NPT) in the 1/8" size.

Thanks I'll take that into account. I still need to know where to plug into for both the tranny and oil.

We have the best knowledge base here but no informative reply, and I still need help with this. Does anybody have any idea about this?
