Oil leak btw Trans and Case

Has anyone experienced a gear oil leak between the Manual transmission and transfer case?

Mine is starting to drip after 120K miles. Is this a DIY or shop job?

I would do it myself... Its pretty simple, just pop off the t-case and replace the output shaft seal. It is alot easier if you have the correct tool to pull out the seal than using a screwdriver!

Is that the only place it would be leaking from?

Would separating the trans from the T-case cause any loss from the transmission?
