What oil does everyone use?
I currently use Castrol GTX High Mileage 5w-30 with a bosch premium oil filter.
I had several people tell me to use the toyota filter because it will hold the oil in it with the special valve in the filter. But my filter mounts upside down so the law of gravity should keep it full of oil and it has that special valve too.
I have used Lucas Oil Stablizer in it one time.....but its so thick i am scared to it it again.

for the 6-9 months of the year when its pleasant outside - 10w30 mobil 1 clean 7500(yea i know synthetic blend...) with whatever highlife filter i can find at the time.
in the summer months, when average temp is above 100, i run 20-50. doesnt break down due to heat like the thinner oils do. ill sacrafice a bit of performance and mpg to save my engine when its hot out.

Oil gets dirty before it breaks down. If you are only going to change it twice a year I suggest getting a real good filter like a K&N premium filter with a synthetic media and change it regularly.
