OEM Sunroof Deflector
Hey guys,
i've been searching around the internet and on here to find a dealer or part# for the OEM deflector. I can't find anything. TRDPARTS4U told me it is not available. surely this thing has to still be available for sale. any suggestions?

Did you have it for sale? I searched on here but couldn't locate it anywhere. By the way, how did the deflector work for you, did it cut down the wind noise? And if you don't mind me asking, why are you selling?

I have one, and I leave it in during the winter. You can still open/close the sunroof w/ it installed. I install it in the winter, because when the heat is on, the glass condensates, and then it drips on me.

ive found that at about 1/2 open(or closed ) there is limited noise/wind OR with the back window open (partial to full) it reduce the noise and the breeze through is nice.

factory
3rd gen 1999
140,000 miles
so it is used but nothing unusual. it was on the roof
pulled off for gas mileage. plus I like the sunroof without it,
can see better. yes it is windy without it
it is big and shipping will cost me 12 bucks
so maybe it ain't worth it. I see replacements
out there for cheap
I was hoping 40 bucks and then whatever
it costs be to box it up and ship ups ground
but you can maybe find a better deal.

Another factory accessory no longer available! I'm looking for one of these things to so thought I'd revive this thread. Anyone have an OEM one they want to sell me?
Or, does anyone have any experience with the aftermarket ones? The only one I've been able to find is here:

I have not driven my T4R with it off. It is quiet but I do have to lower a window to keep the noise down. After that there is not much noise. I do like the roof half opened when it is a little cold....
X2 on HARD TO CLEAN! Especially in the corners! It leaves dirt in the corners after a wash.
Overall, I am 50/50 on liking it. If the sunroof was smaller, I would hate it! I had an Acura Legend with one on and I took it off and I loved it!

One thing it does do is keep that sunroof wind baffle (the springy thing with the vents in it) from bouncing around at freeway speeds on the older 3rd gens). I think Toyota fixed that issue on the newer 3rd gen sunroofs. I took mine off to see if it increase fuel economy back when fuel was $4+ and never put it back on. I'll let you know if I am going to sell it.
