OEM looking momentary switch
I'm trying to find an oem looking momentary switch to go into one of the spare switch holes, with no luck. The closest I have found is http://www.shopatron.com/product/pro...PPF80400/302.0 but I don't want a rocker switch.
Now you are probably wondering why I want this switch. My garage door opener angered me so I decided to hardwire the sucker in. No more falling velcro, scratched sunglasses, and battery changes for me. I got a quick switch from radioshack, but boy is that thing ugly. Any ideas on a switch that would be push button momentary that will blend with the dash nicely?

Stock OEM on/off switches are easy but momentary will be a bit harder (ie simple foglight switch). Only momentary I have in my 4runner I can think of is the one in the center console to put the rear window up and down. You might see how one fo those might work.

Late 80's Celicas use a momentary PB style switch for the cruise control that might fit the bill. Another switch to consider is the clutch start cancel switch on 86-95 trucks and Runners; with a little black paint and some white stencils, you could fab up a nice switch.

also try http://www.4x4mods.com/Product/Jeep/...rswitch40.html and email them asking, they say they dont do custom switches but if enough people email them for garage icon i wonder if they would... if not just get a black blank one... i know i would if i had a garage i'd do this mod. up is garage, down is gate?

I talked to Mikado the other day. I'd rather have a full size button, no need for the second one, I just spent a few days changing everything on the dash and console to blue, can't add back a green led, it uses batteries, and if they made it in oak, the first 3 wouldn't have mattered and this thread would have not been created.
At this point, the clutch start switch is closest to what I was looking for, but I'm still pondering the high beam idea.

Well, you are not going to fing a momentary push button that is a recatngle.
If you are dead set against a rocker (don't know why?) just find a decent looking pushbutton and drill an OEM hole plug for it and install it in there.

the light switch has a finger-flick switch for high beam. no need to wire up relay to change from constant to momentary pulse, cause i hope you dont drive w/ high beam on. other than that, it shouldnt interfere.
or get something like this

any decent electronics store should have a selection of switches. this does NOT include radio shack.
if you have a switch blank avail, cut a hole in it and fit a push button in it. or hide it in the console or in...
why no matching rocker switch for it?
