Odd Power window Issues 2nd gen

I've got a couple issues on my second gen. The issues I'm speakin of are the two back windows. Both driver's and passenger's side do not work. They don't work from the driver controls or from the doors themselves. They don't dim the lights so i'm not sure what the deal is. Does anyone have any idea? The driver's side and passenger's side front windows work just fine.

My 94 had buggy switches. Swap the switches out with a know good and see if thats the problem.
Just to let you know, it could be either the door or driver control switches. The problem I had was the Pass. window would opperate fine from the driver control. It would also go down from the door, but when going up from the door it would'nt work. It would also disable the driver control. I had to push the switch down and the door then roll it up from the driver control.

Good luck.

mine had similar wierd issues with the switches not working, or only working in a single direction. If you pull up on the peice of the door armrest the holds the switches you can pull them out and take them apart, the metal contacts that make the connection on mine were corroded totally black, just sand them off a bit and put it all back together. that should hopefuly take care of it, if not then you should check the connections through the door and on the control module under the dash.

Did you ever get this resolved? I have the same issue with some of the power windows not working. I cleaned the switches and it seemed to get worse. Now two windows don't work.

Does anybody know where to get cheap switches?

Back from the dead. This was 4 4Runners back! Yes, that did help. It allowed me to work them from the Driver's Control switch IIRC, and I think I got one working from the window switch on the door.
