O2 Sensor stuff!!!

Im looking to run a 24:1 mixture (dont ask)

How would I go about setting my O2 sensor to allow my 1991 Toyota Pickup 22re to run like that?

Thanks,

Bill

Maybe just a simple A/F Controller?

i really doubt that a 22re would even run on a 24:1 air/fuel, thats way too lean, most EFI systems lean out to around 17:1 when cruising, but 24 is too much in my opinion

24:1 will burn the valves in no time unless you use some really wicked water injection system.

It wouldnt hurt the motor if the spark was hot enough to completely burn all of the A/F inside the cylinders.

This is a project im working on anywho.

Figuring that you know the issues of trying to run this lean, then the only thing I can think of to make it happen is the Split Second FTC-017E controller:
http://www.urdusa.com/Merchant2/merc...ory_Code=SPLIT

Outside of the normal functions of letting you modify timing and fuel delivery, it'll also fake out the O2 feed and force the ECU into open loop during cruise. That'll stop the ECU from trying to force a Stoich A/FR and let you tune during what would normally be closed loop.

Good Luck!
