NEED HELP.noise from under dash plus no heat!!

hey guys i need some help on tomorrow project. Fix the heat!!! anyhow last week the temp finalyy got nice and we didnt need to use the heat or air so we rolled down the windows and enjoyed the nice breeze. well 2 days later its 30degrees again, and guess what i hear a noise from under the dash and no heat! it makes a pulsing noise and looks like the actuator is trying to move the arm on what ever that thing is. i have tried to take a video of the culprit making the noise but its kinda blurry if you can make out what this peice is and if it would cause the heat to not work please let me know what i can do to fix it.

Dude, what kind of noise?? And is no heat the issue or no air blowing heat?? I took my dash off several times to dye it black and when peicing it back together sometimes the vents get pulled apart or loose and air goes elsewhere. No heat= maybe heater core? That's against the firewall and can be a pita to replace.

well i fixed it.. turns out the servo stripped some teeth on the gear. i reversed the gear 180* and then found the reason for the binding.. the cable that goes out of the firewall to a vacume valve under the hood was starting to weather causing it to bind up, a little bit of penetrating lube and a little bit of working the cable and it loosened up. now i have heat and air again, and no more binding cable or clicking noise.

** just noticed that in my video the clicking noise isnt audible.. go figure. anyhow thanks for looking.

Any chance you have a picture of the vacuum valve it goes to under the hood?
