Is NGK spark plug wire set 4412 direct fit ?

Spark plug wire set...

Ok! spark plug wire and boots have been fine till today (135k miles...) on my 97 4R SR5 V6. Then, while I am replacing spark plug with Denso ones, dang, that small metal piece from one of the boots got damaged and stuck in the spark plug while the plug is still being plugged & tightened in dr side head. It was nightmare to get rid of the metal piece to remove the plug... took me an hour or two....

Now, I am in need to new wire set and following other's suggestions, found these two parts from rockauto.

Option 1 : NGK Part # 4412 {#TE66}
$27.79

Option 2 : DENSO Part # 6716182
IGN WIRE SET-5MM; Three Lead Set;Application Requires (1) Three Lead Set; OE# 12043749
$32.79

I am about to purchase NGK one then, I would like to make sure it is "direct-fit" connector?
If not, I believe the next choice is Denso one, but what does it mean by "Application Requires (1) Three Lead Set". Does it require additional parts to properly install the wire set?
Can anyone help me to answer these?

Thank you in advance.

I just got the denso one from the dealership. "application requires one three lead set" means that only one set of 3 wires is needed. The plugs on the passenger side are fired by the coil packs. The three wire set runs from the coils over to the driver side plugs. Does that make sense? I know the denso kit i got was a direct fit. It even came with all of the little clips that hold the wires together and clip it all down on in the engine bay.

Thanks for input.
Yes!, that makes sense and that is what I thought/assumed. What I mean by "direct-fit" is whether wire "length" and boots length and "connector" type are all matching the oem size and fitment.

Many of other autos that I have serviced had all same size and same types of connector. But this 4R has a little different set-up... (3 coil packs and 3 boots with a little unique connector type etc etc....

I already placed an order of NGK4412, I will soon see how it works....

I put the NGK 4412 set in mine at 90k tune-up. It is 'direct fit' as you describe it. It does NOT include the clips for the coil-side connection (or any other clips). One of my original coil-side clips was dead and I replaced with a small cable-tie (Ghetto, but Toyota doesn't sell them except as part of a coil-pack or, I guess, wire set based on above.) Seems to work and I am almost due for my next plug change.

I'm running NGK #TE66 (4412). Direct fit and mine came w/ everything I needed. Not sure what clips TheDurk is talking about - the 3 wires have the ends that snap into the coil packs and that's all you need.

My truck was born with clips or retainers (Toyota calls them holders, I guess) that go over the ends on the coil side and help secure the coil end of the wire to the pack. See this link:Linky from toyodiy.com

and look at parts numbered 19539 and its two twins (or other triplets, I should say). They fit on the NGK wires because I've still got two of them on there.

Ok! got the NGK wire set from rockauto and installed. It was direct-fit, no need to have additional clip or anything. All of the clips and retainers are all re-used. I like that blue color wire!, Now car back to running. Great!. Thanks.
