Newly supercharged with URD 7th injector

I recently supercharged my 02 4Runner and have it all up and going properly I think.

I notice that it idles low now. About 400 rpm. What should I do to resolve this?

I have a Bluetooth OBDII module with Dash-commander on my iPhone. What are the critical things to moniter now that I have it running? Basically I want to insure it is running properly and the 7th injector is doing what it is supposed to. I think it is I have no knock at any time.

Thanks

Oh one last thing, I have the 190 fuel pump that I haven't installed yet. How do I know if the system isn't getting enough fuel?

Your stock fuel pump can supply enough fuel. You need an AFR gauge if you want to monitor your AFR which should be around 12 in open loop. Other than that some kind of live monitoring that would detect spark knock. You should drop in 1 step cooler plug (BKR6e) to help with knock. Of course you have to run Premium fuel now too. If you're idling low, first thing I would do (always after any modification) is disconnect the neg batt terminal for a few minutes to reset ECU trims.

I do run premium fuel, I have 2 step colder plugs gapped per URD's recommendation and my idle had normalized since disconnecting the negative cable from the battery and doing a reset.

It seems to all be good and I achieved 20mpg on the highway recently! Which is better than I was getting with regular unleaded non supercharged. It was only 17-19mpg so I'm happy.

I just want to insure everything is working as it should and i don't know enough about the URD 7th injector to plug in and and view what's going on.

What should my numbers be for the AFR in closed loop operation?

I have an OBDII Blue tooth module that uses "Dash Commander" to monitor functions. Will this only tell me what the Toyota ECU see's not what is actually going on that the URD 7th injector sees?

I've attached a photo prior to the 7th injector being connected to my fuel system.

You dash commander only sees what your ECU sees. And then, only part of that. Anytime your are using power adders, you need an AFR gauge with a wideband o2 that can read your AFRs. They're a small price to pay for big insurance they provide. In closed loop your ECU tries to maintain 14.7:1 (stoich) for optimal fuel mileage. During open loop the stock motor maintains 12:1 the best I can recall. You want to stay in the low 12s or high 11s during boost of you're going to have a bad time.

Thanks for the information Vasinvictor. I'll look into getting the AFR gauge with wideband 02.

I see you are also running a URD pulley. How much boost are you getting.
I have a stock supercharger, no fuel mods, and get 7 pounds max. Going up the hill to my house in Sacramento, it pings like crazy, I have to shift out of overdrive to get the revs up. In Denver, where I moved from, the truck would only ping under heavy load-- floored it below 2000 rpm going uphill. Here in California, it pings a lot, even on tiny hills.
When it was Gadgets site, he recommended the fuel pump, piggyback computer, injectors, wideband 02, plugs, thermostat, and a few other little items for optimum fuel delivery. The stock computer and fuel pump run out of fuel and starts to retard timing making it ping.

I drag raced my truck a lot and at about 1000 feet it would fall on its face, due to running out of fuel. Best time was 16.83 at 83 MPH in the quarter.

It all has to work in tandem to effectively resolve the issue. The 7th injector was a Toyota patch and worked well, but was not the cure all for pinging

S/C pulley

The URD pulley is supposed to give an additional 1.5-2lbs boost for a total of 8.5-9psi I believe.

With the URD 7th injector kit I have no audible ping. I do not have the TRD 7th injector kit. I have to connect the AFR gauge with wideband 02 sensor to make sure everything is OK.

I'd like to find someone in the Sac valley area who can plug into the URD AIC 7th injector module and see what's going on to make sure everything is OK.

I'd also like to meet some other people in the are who have supercharged so that I can compare results etc.....
