a newer "NEW TO ME" shell

okok, if you read my other post about the shell i got and the prob i had with it, ie, the gap and the keys. so i went to a shell dealer today to see how much it would cost to get a boot fitted. FREAKIN $65 +$25 for labor. why is rubber so costly?

so the dealer said he would swap my shell for one of his + $90. so i decided to go with that. it fit PERFECTLY with my truck. so in all, i spent $120 for the original shell then $90 for the new one, so i spent $210. not bad. the shell he gave me was going for $350 so i think i do ok. i hope im happy though, so its all good.

here are the pics of the original shell and my new one.

and (dont mind the disgusting writing on the rear windshied, my retard friends did that)

here is my new one:

the 1st gen 4runner style. i like!

next comes a roof rack!

It does look very nice! Good work. By the way, what the heck is on the rear glass. Some X-rated drawings!?!? LOL. My friends do that too! :fireman:

yep, so newaise, does neone have suggestions on wat kinda roof rack to get? theres 2 parts yeh? the rail and then the actual cargo rack yeh?

im going with the yakima rack system . i have the bars and towers aready , so all i had to buy was the rack , which im still saving up for .

they have spare tire holders for them and holders for the hilift jack and shovels and such , and they also have a offroad light mounting kit .
