New Rear Tire Carrier On 3rd

I need to figure out a way to carry a 33 or bigger spare tire with me but not under or on top of my truck. I could not put it in the back eighter. I found a rear tire carrier on ebay for $40 made my hidden hitch. It works great so far. I had to redrill the pin hole so it fit closer to the truck but it fits nice and angles the tire out at the bottom. When I get my new 33 or 34 x12.50 I will be able to care a full size spare. Believe it or not it is realy stable going down the road. http://community.webshots.com/album/100761002toScFk

Looks cool, I'm glad you like it. I can see the bar that goes into the hitch reciever, I'm assuming it's also attached to the back of the truck too. Did you have to drill holes in your hatch? If so does bracket it hangs on support the tire if you need to tow something?

Not like it matters for me since I have a tailgate, but I'm curious.

Looks pretty good man...my only problem with one of those kind of carriers is that it takes up the trailer hitch. I use my trailer hitch all the time so I'm not sure that'd be the best for me...but for you, rock on!

Looks good. Does the hitch mount rattle around a lot or is it quiet?

I just bought it off ebay from a guy locally. He had bought it for his jeep.
It is a hidden hitch.

It is pretty strudy. way studier than I though it would have been.

So, it doesn't fold down or anything, right? So how do you get into your rear door? Do you have to remove the whole thing?
