New OME steering stabilizer
Just switched out the stock SS for an OME. One hint I'll pass along:when useing the pickle fork to remove the lower stud, start on the drivers side and then try from the passengers side. I was whaleing on it from just the drivers side but it just moved a little bit and then stopped. Tried this for about 15 minutes. Switched to the passenger's side and it popped right out after a couple of whacks.
The OME stud didn't go all the way in even after a few good whacks. Maybe about an 1/8"-3/16" left. I just tightened both nuts as hard as I could (used breaker bar to help).
As UKMeyers pointed out in his tech report, the steering does seem a bit smoother/easier. Wishful thinking?...will have to take a few days to do a more comprehensive test.
Check off another project done .
