New High Jack And Mount To Stock Roof Rail

I just got my high jack today and tryed it out jacking my truck up from my sliders. I also mounted the jack to my stock roof rails. I simply drilled though them and put a 3/8 bolt though and put a coulpe of ruber bushing and washers and wing nuts.

Take a look

Sweet! I just got my 48 today. Not sure where I am going to mount mine yet...

Got mine for $49. It's the cast and steel one (black).

Mine is the 48" black one. Which is better the red one or the black one. Cast or Steel?

Once I get my high jack slider adapter from brain I will be set.

Looks good! Sometimes the easy solutions are the best ones.

Look Good but maybe I am a little paranoid, whats to stop someone from climbing up there one night and taken it ??
Might consider looking into some type of locking system.

Unless you are up to the max rating, I dont think it really matters. I have never heard of a 4Runner owner breaking a Hi-lift in any way shape or form.

Mine is weaker than yours anyway.

Talking Red is supposedly stronger

The red one is cast and the black one uses some steel welded parts, supposedly the red one is stronger because it is cast, but in lifting a vehicle I don't think it would matter. It would only be in using it like a come-a-long that the stronger red one might be more useful.

BRIAN, not brain, will get you your adapter A.S.A.P. but don't expect it before the middle of June as I'm going to be gone on vacation the next two weeks and the adapters are supposed to be ready some time after June 15.

Brain... :pat:

geeze i really like your rig. I like creative solutions like that instead of just buying a new rack or adapter. (I am cheap). 10 points.
