I hope they build it and I would definately take a hard look at. I love the old FJ's and would love to own one. At any rate I am sure it would be pricey.

The designation for Toyota Land Cruisers - FJ40 (there may have been something before this as well - FJ20 I think), FJ60, FJ62, FJ80, FZJ80.
I think I've got those all right...

And of course the one that makes me drool all over my keyboard
My fave to date
FJ62
And a pair of '40s
Toyota ought to at least build it like the FJ40.
Just think if they offered that style with a locker, it would crush the new Jeep with the factory locker.

when i was in costa rica, everyone drives an fj land cruiser, it's like owning a honda civic over here. the cool thing is that toyota still makes these things new in a lot of the world, mostly developing countries.
lc in costa rica: http://www.toyotacr.com/esp/frlcw.html -click 'otros modelos'
to own one you only have to go down and live in one of the most nicest places i have ever been
and in nicaragua: http://www.autonica.com/modelo70.htm

I like everything about it except for the 20" wheels. They need to bump that down to 16's. Other than that, I think it would make a kickass truck. Yeah, I know it doesn't look as good as the older ones, but they gotta try something new. It's the '03 4Runner all over again.

I gotta say I'd love to see it built, but I would have to take a good hard look at one, they just don't seem to have the same flair as the old boys.
I seem to recall that they were targeting the mid $20s for a pricing point.

There was buzz a couple years ago about toyota just remanufacturing the FJ-40. I think it was just buzz and nothing more, who knows if anyone at toyota was even thinking about it. Anyone else remember that? If they remade the 40 I would buy one in a heart beat. They would have to fight people off at the dealers. Think about a new FJ-40 made to compete with the Rubicon. 8"s on both end. factory lockers front and rear (high pinion front of course). the 3.4 under the hood would be a nice choice or even the 4.0. Makes me wanna cream my damn pants!
