I have a flowmaster on mine and is sounds great! I runs much better too. It's pretty quiet at idle, but nice and loud when you want it. I don't have any other expeirence with mufflers, but I know the flowmaster sounds real throaty, I love it.
Here's a video with the sound of the Flowmaster. (Crappy audio quality, much better in real life. )

I couldnt be happier with my flowmaster. I think that it sounds great. Its nice that when i rev the engine i can hear the exaust over the sound of the fan .

You could just go with a single glass pack. Have one on my '89 22re and its quiet with low rpms, but gets kind of farty at higher revs.
Good news though if price is an issue, new pipe and glass pack $150 at the local muffler shop.

I've got a '92 pickup with a 22re, and i've got a pacesetter header, high flow cat, flowmaster 40 delta 1in 2out, I think it's 2 1/4 pipe, and i love it.... it isn't a big block but it sounds sexy on the trails and it doesn't get that annoying pissed off honda sound at high rpms... of course the tires don't let it get to high in the RPMs

Yeah, I would go with a Flowmaster. Mine cost about $80. Runs Great. Sounds even greater. Yeah, I hate that "bumble bee in a can" sound that many 4 cylinders have with aftermarket mufflers. The flowmaster gives you the sound of a muscle car.

I did a search on Pirate4x4 for that information and the consensus seemed to be either LC or... crap - I forget the other one. All I remember is that Summit Racing carries the other one.
I have an LC set at home waiting for me to have the time to install...

well i have heard good stuff about flow master but i can see that the 40 series would be a little loud, i like the quiteness at idle but i want it to be heard a little more at higher rpms but not much, just a little more throaty,
i am not gonna put a header on right now but i would like to in the future,
so everyone agrees on 2.25 in? what about a cat, i was just planning on leaving it out, i don;t really need one,
thanks
