New discos and tires!
Well, I broke down and built a set of discos after shopping around for new and used OE end links. The cheapest I was quoted for a USED set was $85 for the pair. 
So, I "borrowed" the basic design for Lar's discos. I couldn't find grade 8 carriage bolts anywhere, so I used 1/2-20 B7 all-thread. Basically a little better than grade 5. A couple rod-ends from Granger, some persistance and swearing and I have a set of swaybar disconnects. Now I'm thinking, "Great, now I have an excuse to buy an Addco from swaybar!" 
After installing the discos, I headed to Sears to have my new tires installed. No pictures...yet. They are 285/75/16 Bridgestone Dueler Revos. Why Revos and not MTRs? Primarily for tread longevity and highway driveability. And also the numerous reviews here. And finally, price. So far, I am sufficiently pleased with them. They did far better than I anticipated on Coney Flats this weekend. I rolled them over loose skree, large wet rocks, loose gravel, mud puddles, and wandering peop...uh, scratch that. I was very impressed how they kept themselves clean after rolling through numerous mud pits. I was also very impressed with how they handled on the street and highway.
I went to Big O, Discount Tire, Costco, Sears, Discount, Sears, Discounts, Sears, Sears, and finally Sears. Costco has the best price - $712 including tax for 285/75/16 Revos, mount/balanced and with road hazard. Costco was also running a promo that would knock an additional $80 off the total making the ticket $632 out the door. Not bad. I had them print and invoice and drove back to Sears. Sears beat the package price plus 10% making my final cost $602.42 out the door for 285/75/16 Revos, mounted, balanced, and road hazarded.
To my surprise, Sears also had the adapter to correctly balance my wheels. AND...they put all the weights on one side rather than spacing them around the entire diameter as they have done before. The only thing I was not satisfied with was that they torqued my lugs to 135 lb/ft rather than the 78 lb/ft I specified. Oh well. That's why I have tools, I guess.

Congrats on the home made discos and I think you'll love the Revos. I've had mine about two months and couldn't be happier. I even took a 1000 mile trip and they were smooth and quiet.
