I have more on the camera, I was hoping Correy would hace emailed back but he is probably Correy I don't know if you have a camera but if any one near Maple Valley Washington does stop by L.S. today. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...44856847SZAkTo IT WORKS

After seeing the rear, I think I still like the 2nd and 3rd Gens best.

Looks like the product of a Sequoia and Montero Sport conjugal visit.
Hopefully more pics will be better

I'll wait to see more pics before I form a complete opinion. From what I see with that rear 4Runner pic, me thinks it looks too pretty a-la Rav4.

Just a first look, but, to me, first impression is butt-ugly.

Looking at it a bit more, it wouldn't be all that bad if it weren't for the BIG and UGLY logo and bezel (what were they thinking?) and the different colored panel above the hitch! I think they wanted it ti look like a Mountaineer.

maybe this is a bit of a premature opinion, but i think i did right when i got my 2002 instead of waiting for the 2003 if that is what it looks like even if it does have a v8. Looks like i will HAVE to start looking into the S/C

Maybe now we know why Toyota has been so tight fisted with the pics! Just kidding (I hope).

I just called my local dealer who says it's not coming out for awhile.
I told him there are pics, and he said, yeah, there are pics on the 'Net. And I told him no, there is an actual 2003 California plated 4Runner about 15 miles or less from my home. I sent him the URLs to the pics, and he will get back to me in a bit. _______________________________ Just spoke with the guy, and he said it might be a promo since it came out of CA. He says a lot of times we know more than the dealers. Paul, I set up a folder on my server, so when you get more pics, I can add them to my folder so they will show up here. Corey

I think it looks nice, contoured and futuristic. Too bad it's a 4Runner. It's nothing like what I've grown to love about the 4Runner's already limited look of ruggedness. It's now way too civilized. I was hoping they would lean more towards a rugged "Xterra-type" 4Runner for those who like to play outdoors.
But I guess that's what makes money these days and that's what the public majority probably want. Again, to me it's just a more expensive RAV4.

If it really does look more "civilized" and soccer mom-ish it may even make the value on our older generations stay higher.

I agree...its nice but I cant believe thats a 4runner....even the font of the 4runner emblem is designed differently ...end of a great legacy if u ask me... oh well..i guess things had to change eventually

I like the rear end. Although it does not look 4Runner-ish.

Im glad the 2003 STILL has hatch w/ sliding window, its looks a bit sequoia-ized but still looks good (except the color is IFFY)
I can hear the screaming V8 now, only question is this doesnt quite resemble the lexus version, what its a toyota orginal??? Nice find Paul, do you have any more pictures????

I wouldn't be having any problem with it at all if it wasn't a 4RUNNER! If it was anything else at all, it'd be fine; not to my taste, but still fine. To me, 4Runners have always been lean and built for a purpose. I can't say that's what I'm seeing with this new one - at least, not yet.
