I have a 94 4runner with a blown head gasket and useless engine according to toyota dealership. It was part of the head gasket replacement campaign with a new gasket put on at 45k miles. I bought it used with 65k miles onit and the gasket blew at 95k miles. Toyota will do nothing. So, I'm researching the possibility of dropping a new engine in it. What kind? Where do i get it? Exactly what seals, gaskets, etc. do i need? Any advice will be appreciated.

Don't bother with 3.0, try looking into swapping the 3.4 V6 into your 2nd gen.

Toyota redesigned the headgasket sometime. Because of this, I've had two V06 campaigns performed on my truck. I would call a different dealership and have them run your VIN.

If you didn't toast your motor, you may want to look at having a different shop replace the headgasket. Just call around and get quotes.
