Talking Need some expert help!

Awwaiight, Yotatech experts this is the situation:

my runna has been idlein kinda weird for a couple of weeks. sometimes it's low, sometimes it fluctuates. iv'e already adj the TPS, changed the vac hoses, cleaned TB, etc. etc. It excelerates good but is a little jumpy at takeoff and around 60 mph. plugs look good, new wires and distrib cap. I think it's the distrib itself because i got a code 12 and if i play with the distrib wire the engine dies. prob a bad connect.

anyway, does this look to be my cause? I intend to purchase a used distrib this weekend and install it. Can anyone tell me how to swap this out i've neva done it before but i'm mechanically inclined. thanx geniuses!

Take off the distributor cap and mark the position of the rotor to something on the block. Also mark the distributor housing.
There is one hold down bolt to the block. Undo it and pull the distributor out.
DO NOT ROTATE THE ENGINE.
Put a new o-ring with a bit of oil on the new distributor and put it in.
