need seats for 96 4runner
does anyone know if any other models of toyota front seats can be swaped with a 96 4runner? I'm guessing its just the mounting brackets that need to match up. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I replaced the seats in my 96 not too long ago. I found some seats in a '98 at the junkyard. So any 3rd gen seats will work. I also found some seats from a 4th gen, but they were not a direct fit. I could have made them work by drilling some new holes and stuff, but that was more work than i wanted. Hope this helps/

Any 3rd gen seat will be a direct bolt-in.
I did run into a problem with a power seat vs manual seat but I think it was because the manual seat had been beaten to death and wasn't straight.
