Need a picture of Desert Dune painted bumpers

My 4R still has the chrome bumpers with the front bumper having the black trim. I was wondering what my 4R would look like if the bumpers were painted to match the body. Does anyone have pictures/links of this (no photoshop please)? My 4Runner is Desert Dune (so I'm told) and I've seen some pics on here that might match it, but I don't trust my own judgement when it comes to color.

Also, I really want to do something to my bumpers to get rid of that stock look. That's why I want to paint them. But, is there anything else I could do? I'm open to replacing the bumpers also because right now I'm just looking at all my options.

Thanks.

-Matt

matt,

instead of wasting your money painting your bumper to get rid of that 'stock' look, just buy a TJM or an ARB bumper. search both terms and you'll read and see more pics than you will have time for.

After looking at the ARB and TJM bumpers, I'll just stick with my stock bumpers. They don't look so bad, but I really like this guys 4R:

Do you think the body is desert dune? What do you think the trim is?

you get that bumper, you got to get everything else---the limited fender flares. it is not cheap to do all of that.

Yea I do, I still like the look though. I didn't realize I would have to buy the flares too. Man, everything I wanna do costs so much money. Money I don't have.

matt,

youre getting years of experience here from the members whove all read and been there and done that. best thing to make your truck more functional and look better is to get a TJM or an ARB

And you can always color match your TJM or ARB.

Matt,

If you want to paint your bumpers, go ahead. You dont have to buy a big off road bumper. I have seen the SR5 bumpers and valance painted and they look fine.. Just color match your paint rather than the 2 tone desert dune and millenium silver. Its not going to look like the limited with all the plastic and fender flares though.

I happen to like chrome bumpers but I still am thinking of painting the valance to color match. Mine is desert dune as well.

Just a thought.

I appreciate, your advice, but I don't wanna buy a bumper that I do not like. I'm not an off-road guy.

Yea, maybe the dual tone isn't the best choice. After looking at many pictures, I haven't seen a 4R where the chrome and trim is all desert dune (which gets back to my point for starting this thread). Also, I'm open to other options so if there's a color scheme that works well with desert dune then I'm all for it, if I like it. Perhaps painting the black trim desert dune, but keeping the chrome? Either way, I wanna see pictures first to get a better feel for it.
